Terms of use

These are the terms for using rutefold, run by Evert Van den Bruel. By creating an account you agree to them. How rutefold handles your data is in the privacy policy.

Your account

You need to be at least 16. Keep your password to yourself: what happens in your account is your responsibility.

Your routes stay yours

Everything you add remains yours. You let rutefold store it and work with it only to run the service for you, and to show a route or collection to the people you share its link with. You can download all of it, or delete it, at any time.

What you may upload

Only routes and files you're allowed to keep and share. Don't use rutefold to store other people's personal data without their permission, or anything illegal. We can remove what breaks these terms.

Routes and your safety

rutefold shows routes as they are in your files, with distances, climbing and times that are estimates. It can't tell whether a path is still there, open, legal to use or safe in today's weather, and it doesn't navigate. Check the route and the conditions before you go, follow local rules and signs, and go at your own risk.

The service

We do our best to keep rutefold running and your data safe, but can't promise it never goes down. rutefold may change. If it ever closes, you'll hear at least 30 days ahead, so you can download your data.

rutefold is free for now. If paid plans come, you'll hear before anything costs money, and your data stays yours to download either way.

Ending

You can delete your account whenever you like, under Account. We can close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, after warning you where we can.

Liability

As far as the law allows, rutefold isn't liable for indirect loss, or for what happens on a route you chose with it. Nothing here limits liability the law doesn't let us limit, or your rights as a consumer.

Law, and changes

Belgian law applies; as a consumer you keep the protection of the law where you live. If these terms change, the date at the top changes too, and for changes that matter we'll email you first. Questions: hello@rutefold.com.
